Students who sign up for Extended Day are required to bring a nut-free lunch Monday to Thursday. Enrichment activities such as Movement, Spanish, and Storytelling are also available during this time. Children who are not ready for Extended Day in September can still enroll later in the year with prorated tuition. Five-year-olds attend school from 9:00 to 2:30 on Monday through Thursday and from 9:00 to 12:00 on Friday.
The longer program at the Brick Church School for this age group ensures that there is sufficient time to delve into project work that reflects the children's interests while also developing essential skills in various areas. Enrichment activities like Art, Library, Movement, Music, Spanish, and Storytelling are incorporated throughout the day to allow for more time for the classroom curriculum and kindergarten readiness. For families whose work schedule, child care needs, or sibling drop-off at another school clash with Brick's drop-off time, the school offers Early Morning Drop-Off, which runs from 8:00am to 8:20am. If the weather is good, drop-off will be in the Garden, but if it's not, it will be in Watson Hall.
Finally, the June Program is open to current students and the Brick Church School members who are four or five years old, running for the first three weeks of June from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The school offers a summer program for children completing their year in the 3-, 4-, and 5-year-old classes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every weekday.
