Since its establishment in 1980, the French-American School of New York (FASNY) located in Westchester County, New York, has grown from a small preschool into a renowned N-12 day school, providing exceptional bilingual education for local francophone families and expatriate students. With over four decades of experience, French-American School of New York has evolved into an international institution, serving more than 700 students across three campuses in Mamaroneck and Larchmont, New York. Interestingly, it is the only school in the New York metropolitan area permitted to provide both the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma and the French baccalaureate, offering a comprehensive and globally recognized learning experience. In grades 11 and 12, students have the option to choose between the OIB program (International Option of the French baccalaureate) and the IB Diploma program. The OIB program offers a demanding curriculum where history, English and geography are taught by American instructors. On the other hand, the IB Diploma program delivers all classes in English, except for French literature. Both the OIB and IB tracks are available to both francophone and non-francophone students, as well as those who are fluent in English or have a minimum proficiency level as English Language Learners.
